I'm now in my second week of classes, and I couldn't be happier to be out of quarantine. That being said, the first week of classes was definitely not smooth sailing. I am taking courses at three different locations, and since I didn't get to do any of the orientation tours due to my quarantine, I got very lost. I'm feeling much better about my classes this week though, even though I just switched into a couple of new ones. I don't start class until 1 every day, which is the perfect schedule for me! I am taking a gastronomy class, a class about the three major religions (Islam, Christianity, Judaism) and their influence on souther Spain, a business ethics course, and visual culture and digital media in modern Spain! I can definitely see how much my Spanish has improved already.

After my first week of classes, some friends and I went to Paris for the weekend! We don't have classes on Fridays which makes traveling much easier. I'm glad I saw the city again because it had been a while, but I'm not sure I feel the need to go again any time soon. It's gorgeous, just very expensive on a student budget. It's also hard to beat Seville winter weather! All in all, I'm very happy to be back home with my host mom.
Other than classes, I've been eating most of my meals at home, excluding the sunset snacks on the river. Cruzcampo radlers are only 70 cents from the grocery store–what more does a girl need? I'm still eating a lot of bread, and while a lot of people have struggled to adjust, I absolutely love the eating and sleeping habits here. Breakfast at 11, a huge lunch at 3, and a small dinner around 10. Bed at 1 am unless Dolores and I get distracted watching tv...
Today I played some soccer organized by CIEE, though I'm not sure I can hold my own against all these college players...I think I'll watch next time. My friend Claire (one of said college players) keeps wanting to take me to her gym nearby, so I may have to give in soon. Hopefully that will be more my speed! Still getting plenty of exercise walking at least 5 miles every day. I love this gorgeous sunny city!!
